Place Settings: Are They Necessary? Do You Want Them? Can You Afford Them? These are common questions I’m often asked. Let’s discuss:
Charger Plates: Personally, I love them. They enhance the styling and contribute to the overall table design. However, I think they are best suited for specific wedding styles. For instance, they may not be suitable for a rustic or casual wedding where guests will be sharing platters or pizzas.
Napkins: Again, love them. They’re a great way to incorporate your color scheme and enhance the table’s aesthetic. Most venues do provide white napkins, which many couples use on top of their charger plates. Ultimately, it comes down to your budget and whether you want that splash of colour to tie in with your decor.
Cutlery: I love, obviously. The combination of gold-rimmed plates with silver cutlery can hurt my eyes although I understand that there are more pressing matters than the cutlery. Adding plates, napkins, and a complete set of cutlery can be costly, so it’s a matter of personal preference rather than a necessity.
Menus: Are you aiming for a beautifully styled room with every detail considered? If you’re including all of the above, it’s likely you are. Menus can be great if your guests will be enjoying different meals, and they certainly add a special touch to the decor. However, I would again say that they aren’t essential. If you do choose to include them, think about how you’d like them to be arranged with the napkins.
I hope you found this information helpful! Please let me know what you decide to include on your tables. If you’d like to discuss your styling further, feel free to reach out through our website or email [email protected]
