Seating plans can be one of the hardest jobs to sort and there’s always a lot of back and forth with the top table, with many questions spiralling.
Will both parents sit there? What if one parent isn’t present? What if parents are divorced and don’t get along? What if the groom has three best men? What about our kids? Do we want them seated with us or do we want to relax?
There’s so many things to consider and let’s face it, traditional rules are pretty much out of the window these days which makes it more difficult to decide.
I personally love a sweetheart table, it means you can mingle with guests but get some time to yourself to soak the day in a little. It also means you don’t have any of the worries I mentioned above.
Make sure you do whatever you think is best! Don’t worry about anyone else.
