How to cut costs at your wedding

We all know weddings are a big expense, sometimes we have no option but to start thinking about where to save some money. This is a matter of opinion, but if it was me cutting the costs, this is what I’d be removing from my to do list:

1. Save the date prints: You might be excited to get these out and not consider it an actual wedding cost but down the line you may be thankful you didn’t spend on these. Send an online version instead.

2. Favours: Honestly, unless they’re amazing, does anyone actually notice favours?

3. Cake: There are definitely cute, cheaper options for cakes if you don’t want to spend £500 on a gorgeous one. This one is a matter of opinion, if you are a cake admirer, you might want to keep the cake in your budget!

4. Guests who you haven’t met before: Not to be mean, but if you’re over on your numbers on the wedding, each extra person will cost £x per head and this can really add to your costs.

5. Bridesmaid and guest florals: Ok so this one is controversial, I’m even questioning myself while I’m writing this down. But, hear me out. I personally would want a huge, gorgeous bouquet. Do my bridesmaids really need one? Unless the florals are being reused I’d prefer to spend my floral budget inside my venue where I can really enjoy the flowers and styling.

The main thing to remember is, you do whatever suits you best!

And if you want your room to be beautifully decorated, I’m your gal! Send me an email and let’s chat!
